Dahlia Flower Type Definitions
 
BA -  Ball: Blooms are over 3.5 inches ball shaped.
C -    Straight Cactus: Full double blooms with pointed petals.
CO - Collarette: Single flat cupped petals with a center disc.
FD-   Formal Decorative: Flat broad petals, and arranged perfectly.
IC -   Incurved Cactus: Petals are pointed, and curve forward.
ID -   Informal Decorative: Petals are irregular that twist, and are curly.
LC -  Laciniated: Uniformly arranged petals with a fringed look at the tip.
MB - Miniature Ball:  Blooms are ball shaped and measure 2" to 3.5".
NX - Novelty Double Center: Distinct and different from other dahlias.
P -    Pompon: Perfectly round flowers that measure 2 inches or less.
PE -  Peony: At least two to five rows of petals surrounding a disc.
S -    Single: Single row of petals surrounded by a disc.
SC - Semi Cactus: Full double blooms with broader pointed petals.
ST -  Stellar:
WL - Waterlily:  Double blooms with multiple layer of petals, domed center.
